An Executive visit to St Andrews Lodge

In October 2018, St Andrews Lodge of Mark Master Masons No. 806 was honoured by a visit from W.Bro. Chris Eley, Assistant Provincial Grand Master, and a number of Provincial Grand Officers of the year.

An Executive visit to St Andrews Lodge

A Lodge of Mark Master Masons was opened. The Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies, W.Bro. Darren Mantell, was admitted and advised the acting Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Barrie Selway, that the Assistant Provincial Grand Master was in the ante room and he demanded admission to the Lodge.

The Assistant Provincial Grand Master entered in procession with the Provincial team and was welcomed by the Worshipful Master. The Assistant Provincial Grand Master was then presented with the gavel and took the Chair. He said how pleased he was to be visiting St Andrews Lodge again and looking forward to the afternoon and evening in their company.

The Assistant Provincial Grand Master spoke about the various ongoing initiatives, especially events in support of the 2022 Festival. He then had much pleasure in presenting MBF collarets to W.Bro. John Ward and Bro. Brian Tout thanking them for their support for the Festival.

He then introduced the Provincial team, took the minutes and vacated the Chair.

Next on the agenda was the installation of W.Bro. Jim Moyes as Worshipful Master. This was done in an excellent manner by W.Bro. Barrie Selway, assisted by W.Bro. Denzil Griffiths who presented the Working Tools. W.Bro. John Ward presented the Keystone Jewel to the new Worshipful Master in an excellent manner. It was a lovely installation ceremony, done in a very sincere manner by W.Bro. Barrie. The Assistant Provincial Grand Master wished the new Worshipful Master a most enjoyable year.

The Assistant Provincial Grand Master was then invited to present a Grand Lodge Certificate to Bro. Paul Brennan-Benson.

A number of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Mark Masons, guests of W.Bro. Jim Moyes, assisted the Lodge by occupying a number of Offices during the afternoon.

After the Lodge was closed the Brethren of St Andrews Lodge and their guests sat down to a most enjoyable meal at the Farnham Masonic Centre.
