Welcome to the website of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Surrey. The Mark Province of Surrey was originally established in 1857, shortly after the formation of Mark Grand Lodge, and on its formation had just two Lodges. However in 1870 the Province was united with Middlesex and so continued until 1892 when Surrey once again became a separate Province with six Lodges.

One of the original Lodges, Hiram No.13, still meets at Guildford and since these early days the Province has grown considerably and now has 44 Mark Lodges and 39 Royal Ark Mariner Lodges presided over by our current Provincial Grand Master R. W. Bro. Raymond Hussey (photo left). He is assisted by the Deputy Provincial Grand Master, W. Bro David Blackburn, and two Assistant Provincial Grand Masters, W. Bro David David Willmott and V.W.Bro. Peter Rubie-Todd.

The aim of our website is to provide information about the Mark and Royal Ark Mariner degrees to our members, to Masons who are not yet members of these degrees and to those of you who are not yet Masons. The website provides information about our history, organisation and charitable activities, particularly our many current events leading towards the culmination of our 2014 Surrey Festival which will see substantial charitable donations to the Surrey Air Ambulance and CHASE Children’s Hospice.

We feel sure that you will find the site helpful and interesting and if you want further information about our Mark or Royal Ark Mariner Degrees please do not hesitate in contacting us. If your visit stimulates you into taking the further step to becoming a member of our Order we feel sure that you will not regret joining this ‘friendly’ degree in Masonry.
